Abstract
As the global warming has been a fearsome threat to environmental sustainability, the application of smart grid plays a vital role that may provide considerable solutions to advance energy management as well as reduce CO2 emission. However, due to the information exchange on Smart Grid network (SGN), the accompanying information security attacks will affect the reliability and usability of Smart Grid applications. For solving this problem, this paper presents an investigation aiming at analyzing information security risks on SGN through constructing a threat model. The proposed threat model beneficial to determining information security functional features for SGN may contribute to not only academic research on energy related system integration but also practical studies regarding to ICT-supported secure energy management system.
