Abstract :
Hyperbooks, computer-aided schoolbooks, are developed for use in distance education. The learning material can be structured and linked together in a computer, so it will be easy to use for self-studies. Animations are used to visualize systems and abstract models. Simulation programs are used in examples and exercises. They will give the students quick feedback on their learning progress. The authors consider applications of hyperbooks in distance education, including engineering education
