Abstract :
With the time-of-use pricing structure in the electricity consumption cost considered, two types of formulations are discussed for optimal operation scheduling of a pump station. A reduced dynamic programming algorithm is employed to optimize the control sequence while a linear programming algorithm is to optimize the switching time sequence. It is shown that both the algorithms are energy-efficient scheduling approaches.
