Abstract :
Early results are presented for a high power gyro-TWT operating in the low-loss TE/sub 01/ mode that is driven by a 100 V, 5 A, ν/sub ⊥//ν/sub z/ = 1.0 MIG electron beam and is predicted by a large-signal simulation code to generate 140 kW at 94 GHz with 28% efficiency, 50 dB saturated gain and 5% bandwidth.
