Abstract :
With the development of economy, more and more attention has been paid to human health related to pollution. In this paper, the authors selected the WTO and EXMOD model to evaluate the health damage caused by air pollutant in Huzhou region, China. The result indicated that the total amount of human health damage from 2003 to 2007 in Huzhou region was 1.49 billion Yuan. It was about 0.49% of the total GDP. The human health damage changed spatially from one county to another with the loss ranging from 97.20 to 893.8 million Yuan. Changxing was the county most seriously influenced by air pollution whose ratio of human health damage to GDP is about 1.04 percent and the Anji county is the slightest one influenced by air pollutant with 0.21 percent loss of GDP. The difference of human health damage was mainly resulted from the industrial development condition, the energy structure and the effectiveness of environmental protection measures in county level.
