Abstract :
The experimental research results of liquid crystal (LC) microlenses with an asymmetrical electrode structure and different types of LC alignment are presented in this paper. The range of an operated voltage for different microlens types has been obtained and the optimal values of voltage have been determined. The LC-microlens focal length-voltage dependencies for different hole diameters have been obtained. The comparison of characteristics for different microlenses is carried out and some recommendations for their application are formulated
