Abstract
Wireless sensor network (WSN) comprises of a large number of small sensor nodes which are capable of sensing data processing and communicating. As we deal with a large number of sensors traditional routing protocols proposed for MANETs are not suitable for wireless sensor networks. In this paper we present a leveled meshed multipath routing (LMMPR) protocol. We first present the leveling scheme where the whole network is divided into particular number of levels. Then we present the multipath searching scheme and how the packets are forwarded using this leveling approach. The performance evaluation of this proposed LMMPR shows that it has more throughput than meshed multipath routing (MMPR). The network lifetime also increases for the proposed strategy when compared to that of meshed multipath routing (MMPR).
