Abstract :
It is noted that there isn´t any handy approach to study the effect of damping hole to fuel metering valve at present, although the performance of a fuel metering valve is dramatically influenced by both damping hole and damping ratio. This paper presents a mathematical approach. Using this approach, it is convenient for designer to obtain the damping ratio´s optimal value, lower and upper bounds, as well as the damping hole diameter. Ultimately, simulation is carried out and the approach is validated by simulation results.
