Abstract
The spectrum analysis parameters for musical sound are tuned to match the characteristics of hearing as closely as possibly. Those parameters consist of constants of the Cauchy function with other proper functions. By repeating this procedure for many various octaves, we can generate the parameter library for the piano sound unit. Therefore, significant data reduction for musical signals based on psychoacoustic data compression is achieved due to the few parameters of good quality sound
