  • Abstract
    The technical efficiency of relay protection (RP), is defined by a difference potential possible effect (PE), for which realization is intended RP, and losses of functioning of the equipment are referred to PE. Components of efficiency: PE and the losses because of refusals, undetected short circuits (SC) in area (zone) of action, excessive actions with SC on external elements; false actions can be expressed as probabilities or parameters of flows of the appropriate events. The conformity between probabilities and parameters of flows of events for stationary process of functioning RP is expressed by a way of multiplication of parameters of flows on average duration of action RP or trip point
