Abstract :
Improvement of traditional procedures and techniques level caused development of compound structures of active volumes of induction motors. The compound structures of active volumes of induction motors provide practically wasteless production of magnetic cores and smaller expenditure of materials. Division of the active volume into individual constructive zones causes appearance of a number of characteristic properties of heat transfer. For the properties to be regarded it is necessary to develop a mathematical apparatus and to design heat models representing details of the new construction. Investigation of heat processes in induction motors with compound active volumes is performed on the basis of the classical equation of heat conduction and volume approximation of the real active volume of a machine by a set of orthotropic mediums. The heat model of a real machine is represented as a set of the cylindrical regions modelling the mediums along radial and axial directions. Radial parts of a machine can be region boundaries of the design model
