  • Abstract
    Scheduled for launch in 2005, the GOCE (Gravity field and Ocean Circulation Explorer) is the first of the core explorer missions planned as part of the European Space Agency´s, living planet programme. This work describes the electrical power system of the GOCE satellite, the electric energy budget of the mission and the special power bus protection features required to produce the new technology battery system.
