Abstract :
In this work we have used an aromatic polyester, Poly(ethylene 2,6-naphthalate) for investigating the long term behaviour under constant dc field. Current and electroluminescence (EL) have been followed as a function of time for up to 106 s for applied dc field higher than 3 MV/cm. Simultaneously, wavelength resolved emission spectra have been recorded. The spectral evolution of EL as a function of time is discussed
