Abstract :
An equivalent circuit based on multi-conductor line theory for planar transmission line transformers (TLT) is presented. Its validity is demonstrated for a 50Ω to 12.5Ω TLT. The device is realized on a three metal layer PCB. It operates at frequencies from 200 MHz up to 5.5 GHz.
