Abstract
The conception of the instantaneous reactive power p-q theory (IRP) and the current´s physical component theory (CPC) are introduced in this paper. By applying these two theories in three kinds of circuits, namely sinusoidal balanced circuit, sinusoidal unbalanced circuit and non-sinusoidal balanced circuit, their performances and mutual relations in different circuit conditions are discussed specifically. Besides, the drawbacks of these two theory are also revealed obviously, which may provide some theoretical basis for future´s power theory development and better application of IRP and CPC theory.
