Abstract :
The injection to main flow through a perforated surface has many industrial applications such as film cooling. Injection flow is also a way of controlling characteristic of boundary layer flow. In this study, an experimental study has been carried out to study the effects of injection flow rate, main flow Reynolds number and the direction (front, top or rear) of injected flow on pressure distribution over a half perforated surface circular cylinder.. The results show that, injected flow influences characteristic of flow over the cylinder and change the pressure coefficient around the cylinder.
