Abstract
High-voltage sensors using a piezoelectric transducer and a foil-gage-type strain gage were designed, and a prototype high-voltage measuring system using these sensors was constructed. The resonance frequency of trial sensors was measured with the impedance analyzer. The vibration modes, such as radial mode (31 mode) and thickness mode (33 mode), were confirmed. The results showed that the strain was proportional to the measuring AC voltage, and the measured values showed good agreement with the theoretical values. The measured percentage errors were smaller than ±2%. The sensors thus provide a compact and convenient way to measure AC high voltage
