Abstract :
The smart grids development implies large penetration of distributed generation and ancillary services apparatuses. This requires accurate network component models in a frequency range much wider than the classical interval, 0-2.5 kHz, used for traditional harmonic and interharmonic penetration studies. Recently, the attention has been extended to the frequencies up to 150 kHz. In this paper, some of the models available in the relevant literature for high frequency harmonic penetration studies or for fast transients analyses are briefly described. Reference is made to the scenario of MV Distribution networks. The components considered are: Cable and Over-head Lines, Power Transformers, Induction Motors, AC/DC and AC/DC/AC Conversion Systems, Inverter Interfaced apparatuses.
