Abstract :
Experimental data on influence of surface impedance of extremely small-height ( les 1 mum) copper rectangular waveguide (microwaveguide) on propagation constant are presented for Ka-band. One of the broad walls is replaced by high-Tc superconducting plate. HTS sample can be in superconducting or normal state. The experiments show dependence of wavelength in microwaveguide on attenuation, caused by finite surface impedance of walls even at small and moderate values of impedance. The approach described in a work allows one to determine quantitatively microwaveguide properties depending on impedance properties of the walls.
