Abstract :
A power amplifier (PA) for WiMax military applications in NATO band I (225 to 400 MHz) has been simulated, assembled and tested. Under 802.16 OFDM 64QAM3/4 modulation, the average output power is 25 W throughout the bandwidth. Reliability is increased thanks a special coupling topology. SiC power MESFET has been used in the design.
