Abstract :
This paper presents the performance of a computationally implemented model of a FACTS device known as the Advanced Static VAr Compensator(ASVC). To do so, first, it is necessary to give a description of the basic principle of operation of the equipment, so that the control objectives can be determined. Furthermore, the mathematical modeling of the ASVC is addressed, using the vector theory, since the entire control loop which is used in its operating is based on this theory. This is described below. Finally, the performance analysis of the implemented model are made through case studies.
