Abstract :
The methods of on-site electromagnetic noise suppression are key techniques for on-line partial discharge measurement in transformers based on the pulse current methods. It is difficult to analyze because of the complexity of noise sources and the sensitivity of different measured positions. In this paper, the on-line noise of a 500 kV transformer is measured and the characteristics of the noise are analyzed in detail, which includes their sensitivities in different measurement positions, the characteristics of transient signals caused by the thyristor, the influence of the noise caused by the low voltage power source to the measuring signal, and so on. It is helpful for obtaining the true characteristics of different noise and presenting the effective noise suppression method
