Abstract :
Here we give the first analysis on repeat long (RL) regions of Marek´s disease virus 1 genome with Z curve method, which is a mathematic method to characterize DNA sequence; The sequence diference of RL regions among different strains of Marek´s disease virus type 1 (MDV-1), which have different pathotypes are presented by the three dimensional curve. We also compared the genome regions by the programs of M-GCAT and MAFFT. The importance of using the comprehensive tools to compare genome sequences in studying the pathotypes of the MDV are enlightened by this report.
