Abstract :
We characterize the signal-to-interference ratio (SIR) for power-controlled mobile radio systems with matched filter/minimum mean square error (MF/MMSE) receivers and/or antenna arrays. We then explore the feasibility of power control in fading channels, and identify the optimal power allocation for progressively more complicated fading models
