Abstract :
A brief biography of three leaders in the Japanese electronics industry is given. Insights are presented into the differences and similarities in management style in the United States and Japan. A discussion is also presented of the following topics: quality, effective manpower, division of labor, and the probability of success in technology transfer. It is shown that quality, innovation, and breakthrough each require entirely different approaches to management
