  • Abstract
    In this paper a novel high voltage gain isolated dc-dc converter is introduced. The proposed converter employed an improved Y-source impedance network with continuous input current. Very high voltage gain, electrical isolating and continuous input current are prominent features of the proposed converter that makes it adequate for operating with renewable energy sources like fuel cell and photovoltaic systems. In contrary to other impedance source based converters, the proposed converter can operate with lower shoot-through duty cycle for the same voltage gain. In this paper, operation principles and analysis of the proposed converter are described. Computer simulations have been used to illustrate the performance of the proposed converter and to verify the derived mathematical equations.
