Abstract :
Human gait has been one of active research topics in the computer vision community for the last years. But most vision-based gait studies focus on gait classification and recognition purposes. Our research focus on computer vision gait analysis from the medical point of view as a means to deduce physical conditions of people and aid the specialist in diagnosing and treating gait anomalies. This paper presents the advances in the development of a low cost 3D surface scanner as a tool for human gait analysis.
