Abstract
This paper presents a methodology for tracking, assessing, and addressing Human Performance cross-cutting aspects of United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission inspection report findings at a nuclear power plant. This methodology provides for learning from cross-cutting aspects in the area of Human Performance and implementing changes to improve plant performance. This methodology also utilizes crosscutting aspects as leading indicators for the identification of a potential Substantive Cross-Cutting Issue in the area of Human Performance. The importance of identifying emerging trends through the use of Human Performance cross-cutting aspects is discussed. Insights are provided in applying a plant’s Corrective Action Program to assess and understand cross-cutting aspects of Human Performance, identifying common themes, and addressing gaps in Human Performance to improve plant performance.
