Abstract
Idaho Power Company completed its transition to a new EMS system in May 2007. One of the system´s salient features is State Estimation (SE). This paper discusses the issues that surfaced during Power System Model development and the difficulties in model maintenance. Moreover, this paper describes interaction of SE within operating and planning environments.
