Abstract :
This paper presents the design considerations and the implementation of a cd-cd buck-boost converte, which can process the energy transferred from the ultra capacitors (UC) bank and batteries to the load (motor drive system of an Electric Vehicle EV). The UC bank is used as auxiliary source to supply the motor drive system which allows recovering the energy generated during the regenerative breaking; the above mentioned energy is used to start the EV. Also, the analysis and design of a non-linear type controller, used in this application, are presented simulation.
