Abstract :
Dynamic behaviors of coupled ring and linear arrays system with nonidentical and autonomous chaotic oscillators are studied numerically. It is found that nonidentical oscillators in bidirectionally coupled ring are successfully synchronized when adaptive update laws are introduced into the coupling terms. Using these as foundation, an elaborate coupled ring and linear arrays system with the adaptive update laws is proposed. Numerically it is shown that the synchronization states are asympotic stable. To compare synchronization velocity for the different oscillators of an identical array and the corresponding oscillators of the different arrays at a given coupling strength, the average distance is calculated. These results show the corresponding oscillators of the different arrays synchronize faster than the different oscillators of an identical array.
