Abstract :
A revised diffusion limited aggregation (DLA) model based on the heat balance and mass balance is proposed. The computational simulation is carried out and compared with experiment data. The results indicate that revised DLA model can simulate the process of dendrite-type frost crystals formation and growth. The simulated frost structure agree well with the experimental images. The density of frost calculated by revised DLA is accuracy which can be used to forecast the frost growth time and thickness.
