Abstract
This paper demonstrates the use of nanoscale impulse radar technology for measuring plug flow velocities with spot measurements. With near-field probes located laterally to the flow direction it is possible to detect inhomogeneous plug flow such as gas bubbles in a liquid and determine their velocity from dynamic clutter removal of the time-resolved radar signature.
