Abstract :
An implantable device system has been made which utili es volume conduction for energy transfer and communication. The actual implantable device uses relatively low power and can be recharged with a "stick-on" "energy pad." A handheld controller is used to easily communicate with the implant. The system demonstrates the feasibility of volume conduction technology as a platform for future applications such as drug delivery devices and body networks.
