  • Abstract
    This paper proposes a Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) based tuning for fuzzy controllers. The applicability of the proposed solution is demonstrated by tuning a simple fuzzy cruise control. The algorithm is used for the tuning of the input-output gains as well as the tuning of the sets included into the consequent parts of the fuzzy rules. The results are compared by the means of a fitness function to the tuning results obtained by the application of a clonal selection based algorithm.
