Abstract :
A monitoring system is needed in order for DDS middleware to become more widely used in warfare, finance, and traffic control systems. Here, we propose a programming pattern that functions as a full-duplex listening structure, and apply it to implement tools for DDS monitoring and analysis. The full-duplex listening structure allows each of the multiple modules to independently perceive events, and then determine appropriate behavior for each event. Because this structure implements event-generating and event-consuming processes in parallel, it reduces development time and cost.
