Abstract
This paper provides the results of a study on the approaches to units (i.e. volts, ohms, amperes) and scaling factors (i.e. hertz (Hz) versus kilo-hertz (KHz) versus megahertz (MWz)) in general purpose automatic test system (ATS) applications. It is hoped that the results of this study will provide an awareness of units and scaling factor issues and concerns among commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) and application specific ATS run-time system developers
