Abstract :
This paper deals with high performance carbon electrode for 18F- concentration electrode toward positron emission tomography (PET) application. We proposed pyrolyzed polymer as a promising carbon material for 18F- deposition and recovery electrode. We have applied the following methods to improve electrode performance (Figure 1). A composite of pyrolyzed polymer and glassy carbon (GC) particles is formed to take advantage of both materials. Especially, pyrolyzed polymer derived from photosensitive polymer can provide various microstructures as against conventional bulk GC electrode. Interdigitaed array electrode (IDA) of pyrolyzed polymer is designed, fabricated and evaluated successfully toward high performace 18F- concentration electrode.
