Abstract :
In 1993 QUT developed phasor measurement and communication systems which were initially deployed on the Queensland network. This development and deployment was extended in 2001 to encompass the major load centers in the Australian national grid. The system has been used for eigenvalues-eigenvector estimation, for diagnosis of major system disturbances and for load identification.
