Abstract
The time percentage of Es occurrence has been studied in this paper, using the 22-year ionosphere sounding datasets from 1985 to 2006, involving 18 sites in China and the adjacent. The statistical characteristic for equinox (March, April, September, October), summer (May, June, July, August), winter (November, December, January, February) and annual average are listed. The correlations among Es occurrence probability (logarithm) and frequency and latitude and longitude are studied, and the frequency-dependence model and the geography-dependence model are established. Then the comparison between our model and data in ITIJ-R P. 534-4 is given. Based on our models, region variation of Es occurrence probability is drawn for different seasons in China region.
