Abstract
Due to the ongoing decentralization of the energy system, new requirements for energy resources appear. Distributed units must take over tasks of conventional power plants such as the provision of primary frequency control. However, the reliability of ancillary service products must be guaranteed. In this paper, a method is introduced to cluster distributed units into groups that are highly correlated. This is integrated into the RelACs-method for assessing coalitions of distributed units with regard to their ability of reliably providing ancillary services.
