Abstract
Admittance characteristics of a rectangular radiating slot in the cross section of a rectangular waveguide, are evaluated by the method of moments, using a conventional approach for free space as well as treating the free space as a collinear waveguide. The results computed for the above two cases show excellent agreement. The method is extended for the open ended waveguide radiator problem, and a comparison is presented with the results available in the literature. The approach combines the accuracy of the moment method analysis, with the analytical simplicity and computational convenience arising from the waveguide equivalence
