Abstract
The authors present a study of the electromagnetic field in a concentric conducting circular cavity excited by a rectangular waveguide. The integral equations of current density on the waveguide aperture are formulated and solved by Galerkin´s method. The numerical results of the electric field distribution in this cavity show that, for a specified frequency, the appropriate dimensions and position of field maximum must be clarified to provide strong coupling to a slot cut on the cylindrical surface
