Abstract
Bioenergy is renewable energy derived from biological sources, to be used for production of heat, electricity and transportation fuels. The collection of biomass is a logistic process from different source locations to energy plants. The biomass-to-energy supply chain can be set up in diverse ways that can result in different costs, energy use and Greenhouse gases (GHG) emissions. The research focuses on the model to optimize the biomass-to-energy supply chain.
