Abstract :
The effect of the load property on the electrostatic discharge (ESD) current is great. In this paper, the factors affecting the ESD current are analyzed by transmission line theory when the load is linearity. The result indicates that the geometry of the load influences the rise time and the peak value of the ESD current. All the presented results are valuable in researching the electromagnetic interference of the ESD on the EUT.
