Abstract :
The successful implementation of DSSs depends on several factors. One of the less discussed factors is the aptness of the underlying information base. This contextual factor demands attention at the strategic level, where it is represented by an information architecture (IA). This paper describes different management approaches to the organizational deployment of DSSs. Then, the implications over IAs are explored. Finally, we discuss attributes and structural elements of semi-open IAs
