Abstract
We present some algorithms to compute an optimal or good schedule for some Petri net classes; particularly, we study the state machine class and some subclasses of free choice nets. The analysis of these net classes is performed using only structural properties of the net. The optimal schedule is obtained in state machine nets; and for free choice nets, depending on the arrange of distribution places and fork and join transitions it is possible to obtain an optimal schedule or a good one
