Abstract
The closed Brayton cycle system, which can control the output power by increasing and decreasing the amount of working fluid without changing the rotational speed, is discussed. The 10 kWe engine system under development has high pressure ratio. The system operating point is discussed, and the turbine, compressor, gas bearings, and engine construction are described. Some experiments have been carried out for this system, and start-stop transient and steady-state operating data have been obtained
