Abstract
These days, there has been an increasing demand for a simple and more accurate localization technique. In this paper, we propose a simple scheme for tracking the object´s movement and a system for tracking objects. This scheme is based on the difference of the signal´s arrival times, which is so-called inter-node time difference-of-arrival (ITDOA). It has a similar measurement characteristic to classical time difference-of-arrival (TDOA) measurement. However, the ITDOA scheme has an advantage over TDOA; it does not require any time synchronization between reference nodes. We evaluate the performance of ITDOA scheme using network simulator (NS-2).
