Abstract
The purpose and the principle of measurements of partial-discharge (PD) energy are described. Two methods of PD energy measurements are presented. The first method gives the discrete values of the energy of PD pulses while the second method realized the averaging of the energy in a specific measurement time. The methods are compared, and it is shown that the second method is more sensitive, due to the averaging procedure
